Chris Sanchez turned in a quality start for the Wowies, tossing 6.2 innings and allowing just one run while striking out six. He was backed by a reliable bullpen as Sam Hentges and Hunter Gaddis combined for 2.1 shutout innings, with Gaddis earning the save. Offensively, Maui got on the board early, plating a run in the first and adding another in the third. Jose Mirandaâs drove in both of the early runs in the 1st and 3rd with an RBI single and a sac fly. The insurance came in the bottom of the eighth, when both Mark Canha and Brendan Donovan delivered RBI doubles. Red Arrowâs only run came in the seventh inning on an RBI double by Andy Pages, but their offense was largely stifled by the Wowiesâ pitching staff. Shota Imanaga pitched well in defeat for the Trolleys, striking out seven over seven innings but taking the loss due to limited run support.

The Maui Wowies took down the Red Arrow Trolleys 2â0 in a tightly contested pitchers' duel, thanks to a dominant performance on the mound from Bryce Miller and a clutch swing from Vlad Guerrero Jr. Miller was lights out for the Wowies, going 8.1 shutout innings, allowing only three hits and striking out nine. Hunter Gaddis came in to record the final two outs for the save. All the offense the Wowies needed came in the third inning. After a walk by Donovan, Guerrero delivered a two-run blast to left, providing the only runs of the game. The Trolleys managed just three hits on the day, all of them from Ryan Mountcastle, but no other Trolley hitters could break through against Millerâs precision. Brady Singer took the loss despite a solid outing, allowing just two runs over five innings.

But in the bottom of the inning, Blake Perkins blasted a 2-run homer to put Maui back on top 5â4. From there, both bullpens took over. Mauiâs trio of Sam Hentges, Tim Hill, and Hunter Gaddis combined for 6.2 innings of scoreless relief, with Gaddis closing it out for the save. The Trolleys couldnât muster another run after the 3rd inning. Colin Rea took the loss for the Trolleys after allowing five runs over three innings.
