McCarthy and Bell drove in first inning runs for the Rage, but the Flyers answered with three on back-to-back home runs by Marte and Cruz. Cruz tripled home two more in the fifth, and Marsh hit a two-run homer in the seventh. Semien hit a two-run homer in the fourth, but Rodriguez was good enough when staked to this lead.

The Flyers scored an unearned run in the third inning, and it held up until the eighth. Semien hit a sac fly in that inning and Ibanez followed with a clutch double to put the Rage up 2-1. Pivetta had advanced and finished the three hitter.

Wheeler was money, again. He allowed only three hits. He walked two and struck out eleven. The Flyers got only seven hits, but got an RBI fielder's choice in the sixth by Doyle, in the eighth Busch homered, and Doyle singled home Ortiz, who had doubled off reliever Coloumbe.

Simeon Woods-Richardson pitched his best game of the year so far, but Meyers was superb. He allowed just one hit and two walks, striking out seven, returning the shutout favor that the Flyers did them last game. Ibanez singled home the only run of the game in the seventh.
