Strange event of the week -- Suzuki led off the game with a double, the next batter singled (an 11) and Suzuki was throw out at home. In the bottom half of the first, DeLaCruz led off with a double, the next batter singled (a 16) and Elly was thrown out at home - so both teams recorded their first out of the game with a runner thrown out trying to score. You won't see that very often. NE built a 6-0 lead with three run innings in the first and third. LV clawed back with a four run sixth; four singles and a double. NE scored a pair of insurance runs in the seventh and LV continued to rally with three in the eighth cutting the lead to 8-7. NE got one more in the 8th and LV scored an unearned run off Clase in the 9th. NE hit four HRs, Yordan had two of those. All twelve of the LV hits stayed in the field of play (Rooker was four for five with two doubles), and that was the difference in this close game.

Rooker hit a two run homer to give LV an early lead but NE piled it on with a six run 6th to blow the game open. Three players recorded a "combo meal" (HR and SB). For NE those were Hilliard and EDLC. For LV it was PCA.

LV scored six in the 3rd but NE scored six in the 4th to get Max Fried off of the hook. And then, with NE clinging to a 9-8 lead in the 9th, the Neon had their second six run inning of the game. They scored four runs off of Clase and two more off of Strahm. Suarez belted two home runs and drove in five to pace all batters in this slugfest.
