The Wowies jumped on Ronel Blanco with two runs in the first inning and another in the second, setting the tone from the outset. Nico Hoerner delivered the only offense for Mission Viejo with a solo homer in the 3rd, but the Vigilantes couldnât generate anything else against a locked-in Maui pitching staff. Wowie starter Sanchez worked out of multiple jams, stranding seven runners and keeping Mission Viejo off balance with off-speed pitches. Then Ross and Gaddis each tossed a clean inning to seal the win, with Gaddis earning the save.

The Mission Viejo Vigilantes edged out the Maui Wowies 2â1 in a tense, low-scoring affair that was decided by a pair of solo home runs. Riley Greene drove in both runs for the Vigilantes, with an RBI single in the 5th and the game-winning blow with a solo home run in the top of the 8th, breaking a 1â1 tie. Mauiâs only run came on the long ball by Heliot Ramos with a solo shot in the 4th. The Wowies struggled in key spots, going 0-for-5 with runners in scoring position and leaving six men on base. Luis Gil relied on sharp fastball command and a late-breaking slider to hold the Wowies in check. Tanner Scott & Dylan Lee (Hold, Save), each tossed a scoreless frame with a combined 3 strikeouts to secure the victory.

The Maui Wowies erupted for eight runs in the second inning, turning a 1â0 game into a blowout. Brendan Donovan kickstarted the rally with a 3-run homer, and Mark Canha added a bases-clearing triple to blow it open. The inning featured six hits, two walks, and a hit-by-pitch, all charged to Mission Viejo starter Luis Castillo, who didnât make it past the frame. Brendan Donovan finished the night 3-for-3 with a homer, two doubles, and 3 RBI. Mark Canha continued his hot streak, going 3-for-4 with a triple, a walk, and 4 RBI. Jose Miranda and Andrew Vaughn chipped in with run-scoring doubles in the later innings to maintain the cushion. Bryce Miller cruised through the early innings with a big lead and didnât allow a walk until the 6th. With every player in the lineup reaching base, and Bryce Miller handling business on the mound, the Wowies looked every bit the powerhouse. For the Vigilantes, the early damage proved too much to overcome despite late solo homers from Alonso and OâNeill.
