ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: DeLuca has been shelved since early April with a right shoulder strain and had to be pulled off a rehab assignment last week following a second setback. He'll begin ramping things back up again in late June, and a return before the All-Star break now appears unlikely.
May 27 2025DeLuca was pulled off his rehab assignment Tuesday after suffering a setback with his right shoulder strain, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports. ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: DeLuca was moved to the 60-day IL on Tuesday, and his recent setback seems to explain why. It's currently unknown how much longer the 26-year-old will be out as a result of his latest flare-up, but more information should come once he visits a doctor within the next few days.
May 24 2025Rays manager Kevin Cash said Saturday that DeLuca (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Durham on Monday, Ryan Bass of FanDuel Sports Network Sun reports. ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: DeLuca has been on the 10-day injured list since early April due to a right shoulder strain. He suffered a minor setback in late April, but he embarked on a rehab assignment in the Florida Complex League on Saturday and will make the trip to Durham on Monday with shortstop Ha-Seong Kim. DeLuca went 10-for-23 (.435) with four steals, four runs and one RBI prior to his shoulder injury.

ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: DeLuca suffered a setback in late April when he tried to begin swinging, though he appears to have recovered after being shut down for roughly five days. His recovery seems to be back on track, but he still isn't expected to return until June.
