Jun 30 2025Wisely is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Diamondbacks. ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Wisely went 3-for-12 with a double, three walks and two RBI while starting each of the Giants' last four games at second base, but he'll hit the bench in Monday's series opener. Though Casey Schmitt (wrist) joined Matt Chapman (hand) on the injured list Monday to open up an everyday role at third base for Christian Koss, Wisely's playing time at the keystone could be threatened by the arrival of Tyler Fitzgerald, who was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento. Fitzgerald will get the start at second base Monday and will bat seventh.
Jun 27 2025Wisely went 2-for-4 with a two-RBI double in Thursday's 12-5 loss to the Marlins. ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Wisely appeared in just his second game since being called back up June 20 and recorded his first two hits of the season. He hit a two-RBI double in the fourth inning to tie the game at 5-5 and added a single in the sixth. ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Wisely will take the spot on the 26-man roster vacated by Justin Verlander (personal), who was placed on the Giants' paternity list in a corresponding move. Wisely has appeared in five major-league games for the Giants this season, with his last outing taking place May 11 against the Twins. He is slashing .230/.308/.357 with six steals, five home runs and 30 RBI across 223 plate appearances in Triple-A this season.
May 16 2025The Giants optioned Wisely to Triple-A Sacramento on Friday. Wisely went 0-for-10 with two RBI after being recalled by the Giants on May 1. ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: With Tyler Fitzgerald on the injured list and expected to miss extended time due to a fractured rib, the Giants will turn to Wisely to replenish their infield depth. The 25-year-old has been in the minors all season, slashing .235/.325/.431 with five homers, 19 RBI, 18 runs scored and three stolen bases through 27 games. He'll likely operate in a reserve role while Christian Koss receives the bulk of starts at the keystone.
