Schneemann is the most logical replacement among the players on the active roster, but the Guardians could reach down to Triple-A Columbus for Brayan Rocchio.

ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Schneemann was included in the lineup the last time the Guardians faced a southpaw starter (Andrew Abbott) back on May 18, but the 28-year-old will retreat to the bench in Detroit while Tarik Skubal takes the hill. According to Chris Assenheimer of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram, manager Stephen Vogt implied the hotter bat is Schneemann, who is slashing .379/.419/.586 dating back to April 13.
