May 27 2024The Twins activated Winder (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list Monday and optioned him to Triple-A St. Paul, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Winder has been out all season with a scapular stress fracture in his right shoulder, an injury which was first discovered last October. He posted a 6.39 ERA in 12.2 rehab innings, although that came with a 17:4 K:BB. Winder should get another shot with the Twins later this season, but for now he'll try to sharpen things up at St. Paul.
May 7 2024Winder (shoulder) is continuing his rehab assignment at Triple-A St. Paul, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reported Tuesday. ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Winder's rehab stint began with Low-A Fort Myers on April 30, and despite allowing four runs in 3.2 innings, he'll move up to St. Paul to continue his recovery. Even though he's set to return in late May or early June, Winder isn't guaranteed a big-league roster spot, so he'll likely need to make a strong case during his time at Triple-A to improve his chances.
Apr 30 2024Winder (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment with Low-A Fort Myers on Tuesday, team broadcaster John Vittas reports. ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: Winder is on the Twins' 60-day injured list due to a scapular stress fracture in his right shoulder which he suffered late last season. He will be eligible for activation in late May, but he isn't necessarily a given to be added to the major-league roster once he's deemed ready.
Apr 20 2024Winder (shoulder) threw two live batting practice sessions in Florida in the past week and will next pitch in extended spring training games, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. ROTOWIRE RECOMMENDS: He would then begin a minor league rehab assignment after the spring outings. Winder missed spring training while on the 60-day injured list as he works his way back from a right scapula stress fracture he sustained late in 2023.
